Our Competitive Pickleball League is designed for players who have developed a solid understanding of the game and are seeking more intense and challenging matches. In this division, players can expect to face tougher opponents, faster-paced games, and higher levels of strategy. While maintaining a strong focus on fair play and respect, the Competitive League encourages healthy competition and a drive for improvement. Whether you're a seasoned player or someone who enjoys a competitive edge, this league offers an excellent platform to showcase your skills and compete for victory.

Pro League
9.0-10.5 Combo

Pro League is the pinnacle of pickleball, reserved for elite players who have demonstrated exceptional skill, talent, and dedication to the sport. This division is home to some of the best pickleball athletes in the area, providing thrilling matches that showcase the highest level of play. As we celebrate the artistry of pickleball, we also cherish the sportsmanship and respect displayed by these top-tier athletes. Competing in Pro League is more than just for bragging rights - the winning team takes home a $1,600 payout.

Charlotte Pickleball League Rules

Social/Competitive/Pro League

- Matches: Matches consist of 2 out of 3 games. To win the match, a team must win two games. In the event of a tie (1-1), a deciding third game is played to determine the match winner.

- Scoring: Games are played to 11 points, and a team must win by at least 2 points. If the score reaches 10-10, the game continues until one team achieves a 2-point lead to secure the victory. Points are scored on every serve, and the serving team rotates players after each point.

- Team Composition: Each team can have a maximum of 6 players. Teams may vary their lineups for each match, but during any given week, only 3 players from the team’s roster are allowed to participate. Any variation of gender is permitted.

- Captains: Each team is required to have a captain that will be responsible for the team. A Captain’s meeting will be held at the beginning of each season to review the processes and responsibilities the captain will oversee.

- Regular Season Play: Regular season matches will be held every Saturday for 7 weeks at your assigned location. Team captains will be provided with the match schedule in advance and will be required to schedule their team as necessary for the season. Each team is guaranteed 6 matches, with the 7th match being a built-in rain date.

- League Standings: League standings are updated each week, reflecting each team’s wins and losses throughout the season. The teams with the best records will advance to the playoffs, where they will compete for the championship title. In situations where multiple teams hold the same record, the order of priority will be based on head-to-head record, least number of games lost, and finally the least number of points lost.
- Playoffs: After the completion of the regular season, teams with the best records will advance to the playoffs. Playoff matches will take place on the designated Saturday following the 7-week season. The playoffs will feature elimination rounds leading to the highly anticipated championship match.

Q. How long do events run for?

A. When hosting pickleball social events, we recommend 3 hours to allow for instructional time as well as sufficient rotations for play. When adding pickleball to a larger event, longer court times will provide a better experience for play.

Q. Will we need to bring anything for our players?

A. No! We will have paddles and balls for all players.

Q. Does everybody need to know how to play?

A. No! At your request, we provide a brief instructional on play and rules to get all players up to speed.
